Jane and Joe Blystone - Owners

Welcome to our farm, butcher shop and store! Blystone Farm is a historic family farm just outside Columbus, Ohio, where a commercial sheep herd has been raised for four generations.  With a background in business ownership and equipment installation and maintenance, Joe Blystone led our family in opening an on-farm meat processing facility in 2004.  This venture was an initiative designed to provide an opportunity to sell the lambs and goats raised by our family to the burgeoning ethnic community in the metropolitan Franklin County area.  Blystone Farm has worked to provide a high quality fresh meat product to the immigrant and refugee community, with respect to their religious needs.

Joe’s wife, Jane, a former baker and coffee shop owner, added her skill set when she joined the family business in 2010.  With her extensive knowledge of farm markets, Jane was a natural fit to expand the business into a retail operation focused on providing fresh, local meats to central Ohio communities.  With the involvement of the children, Joe & Jane are excited to open our on-farm retail market to provide fresh seasonal products to our customers!
